There are no words to heal through this and Nana's passing will sit with you always - BUT... You can use this pain, this sorrow. For me, I use the time to lift my eyes to the sky and think about Nan viewing this world through a window. I smile at Nan, I tell her I miss her, love her and will, every day, strive to make her proud or laugh or feel what I feel as time passes. I know I will see my Nan and your Nana again, they are waiting.
Also, I like to think of Betty and you, my longest and most dear friend Vicki, as this:
The path into the light seems dark,
the path forward seems to go back,
the direct path seems long,
true power seems weak,
true purity seems tarnished,
true steadfastness seems changeable,
true clarity seems obscure,
the greatest art seems unsophisticated,
the greatest love seems indifferent,
the greatest wisdom seems childish.
The Tao is nowhere to be found.
Yet it nourishes and completes all things.
Your Nan is the Tao, your strength and water and air. She's truly with you each day my friend. xxx

Time slips by, memories stay, loved and remembered every day. Remembering you is easy, we do it every day, missing you is a heartache, that never goes away.
Our lives go on without you, nothing stays the same, we try to hide our broken hearts, when someone speaks your name. Although we miss you terribly, we know we are not alone, for you are watching over us, from the place you now call home. x x x
Written by Betty on the loss of her husband. but now also very true for us on our loss of her. x
